| David Lassman/The Post-Standard, 2011 Swimmers brave the icy water at last year’s Polar Bear Plunge during Baldwinsville’s Big Chill Weekend. This year’s event runs Friday and Saturday. |
Enjoy cheese and chocolate, take an icy plunge ...
The folks in Baldwinsville will be busy this weekend raising money for Ronald McDonald House and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, as well the village’s Chamber of Commerce.
And they’ll be having plenty of fun doing it.
The annual Baldwinsville Big Chill starts Friday night with Wine, Cheese, Chocolate & More tasting, hosted at The Red Mill Inn by The Speech Family Chocolate Shoppe, Buttercup Cheese, Hunt Country Vineyards and Tabatha’s Family Tree.
It continues Saturday with the Polar Bear Plunge into the Seneca River, Best in Bowl Cook-Off in Mercer Park and Poker Bear Express at Baldwinsville bars.
Eat, drink, eat some more, and be merry.
And watch folks brave enough for the plunge or take a deep breath and jump in yourself.
