A local developer wants to turn an old mill into an upscale hotel.

The old Mercer Mill in downtown Baldwinsville has been vacant for years.

At a planning board meeting Tuesday night the board unanimously approved the site plan for the project.

People in Baldwinsville say the building on Paper Mill Island has become a local eye sore.

Not one person attending the meeting opposed the project.
